An amazing tour of two of South-east Asia's most beautiful countries - Vietnam and Cambodia. Vietnam: Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Sapa, Hue, Hoi An, the Mekong Delta and Ho Chi Minh city. Cambodia: the bustling city of Phnom Penh and the other-worldly Angkor Temples in Siem Reap. A fantastic combo for a fantastic price.

Detailed Itinerary:

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN HANOI.
Upon your arrival to Hanoi, you will be greeted at the airport by our driver and transferred to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day free, be advised that we will provide you the documentations you need for your but first day in Vietnam.

DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR – SAPA
(Meal Inc.: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
After that you have had your breakfast and have your batteries recharged, 08.00 am: our tour guide and driver pick you up from your hotel, we take you to visit Ho Chi Minh complex, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of Vietnamese great father or Uncle Ho (Close from 7 Sept till 6 Nov 2012. And close on all Monday and Friday afternoons. We visit outside only during closed time), President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house – where Ho lived on and off from 1958 to 1969, then visit Ho Chi Minh’s museum where tourists will learn what he had done for Viet Nam and some other countries and a lot of information about President Ho Chi Minh. The next place is One Pillar Pagoda which is a group of structures consisting of a pagoda and a tower built in the middle of a square pond. Leave One Pillar Pagoda for the Temple of Literature the first college of Viet Nam dedicated to Confucian. Have lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, we drive to visit the museum of ethnology, the Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword Lake), Ngoc Son Temple
You will have time to rest until the time of your night train to Sapa. The train to Lao Cai (Sapa) departs from Hanoi at 20:30 h and 21:10 h.
You will spend the night on an overnight train in a 4-beds compartment.

DAY 3: LAO CAI - SAPA - Y LINH HO, LAO CHAI, TA VAN

Upon your arrival to Lao Cai, our correspondent there will be waiting to take you to the town of Sapa which is where the tour (Sapa - Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van) begins. Today awaits you a 4 miles trek southwest of Sapa. We will go from Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho village of the Black H’Mong. We continue walking these trails and you head down to Lao Chai. We will walk through rice fields; visiting places where time seems to be stopped. You will arrive at the Ta Van village, home to the minority Dzay and have lunch in a local family’s home. After having another walk around Ta Van, you will be called to start preparing dinner with the local family, where you will spend the night.

DAY 4: TA VAN - GIANG TA CHAI - SU PAN CHAI

After having breakfast, the last day in Sapa you will spend it visiting the Reds and H’Mong villages and the villages of Giang Ta Chai and Su Pan, waterfalls and a nice walk of the rattan bridge await you today.
After visiting everything, a jeep will pick you up to take you to Sapa. You'll have a couple of hours, free to visit Sapa. At the scheduled time you will head to the station to take the train back to Hanoi.
Night spent on a night train in a four-bed compartment.

DAY 5: ARRIVE TO HANOI – HALONG BAY

You will arrive in Hanoi at around 5:30 am. Once in Hanoi we will take you to your hotel where you can relax and have breakfast before leave for your Halong excursion.
This adventure will reveal to you the recently declared as the eighth wonder of the world, Ha Long Bay. After your breakfast at your hotel, and the Junk boat guide will pick you up in your hotel. You will take a 4 hours bus ride that will take you to Ha Long Bay, with your guide. Once there you will arrive to our Junk boat. It will be near lunchtime, after a brief wait haft hour you will be enjoying your lunch surrounded by pure beauty of Ha Long Bay.
This day you will be taken to visit the Thien Cung cave and Dau Go. The tour also will go through different islands as Tuan Chau, Dog Island and Sail Island. You will also be given the chance to observe some of the fishing villages that inhabit the bay.
For those who fancy going kayaking, just ask us! It's a good option when visiting Ha Long Bay.
Around 20:00 pm a delicious dinner awaits you in a stunning setting.
Overnight  stay on the Deluxe Dragon Cruise.

DAY 6: NIGHT ON HALONG BAY ISLAND

On the 3rd day on Halong Bay, the early birds can practice Tai Chi and watch the sunrise over Halong Bay. After breakfast, a return trip by boat awaits you to visit continue your Halong Bay visit. Also you will have the kayaks available today to give you a chance to go for a spin. We will arrive at our island in Halong Bay where there will be a BBQ waiting for you on the beach.
You can enjoy the tranquility of this island all afternoon.

DAY 7: ISLAND IN HA LONG BAY - HANOI – FLIGHT TO HUE

You will see the crack of dawn on this island before you return in a boat again in the Deluxe Dragon Cruise. You will visit the Cave of Surprises today and go on visiting Ha Long until noon. After a light buffet on the Junk we will then take you back to Hanoi.
You will arrive to Hanoi at 16:30 pm
Once in Hanoi, we will take you to the airport for your flight to Hue.

DAY 8: VISITING HUE
(Meal Inc.: Breakfast, Lunch)
The picturesque and hilly Hue has a special place in the history of Vietnam. Selected capital of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945), Hue takes us back to the old, the origin Vietnam. It’s a place that has been keeping hundred years of architectural works including palaces and royal tombs of the Nguyen dynasty.
We will pick you up at your hotel around 7:30 am. We will begin with a visit to the tombs of Minh Mang and Khai Dinh. On this tour we've also included a visit to see and appreciate the Van An, a Vietnamese martial art. We pass through a small village where they specialized in the development of classic items like conical hats and incense made.
After our visit to the tomb of Tu Duc, a buffet lunch will be ready at your disposal. And after you have rested, the bus will take you to the Citadel. You will visit the Citadel of Hue, a World Cultural Heritage. It was built on the banks of the Perfume River, Western style combining so great with the citadel oriental architecture. It consists of three campuses: the defensive citadel, the Imperial Citadel and the Purple Forbidden City. You will visit Thien Mu pagoda, and to complete the tour of Hue awaits a boat ride on the Perfume River. At 5:00pm we begin to transfer you back to your hotel.

DAY 9: HUE – DA NANG - HOI AN

We will continue touring the country and be on our way to the South Vietnam, heading down to Hoi an. On the way we stop at the Hai Van Pass, Lang Co Beach and the Marble Mountains.
In the afternoon we will have time to stroll through the charming Hoi An. The architecture of Hoi An has no equal, with its low houses and wooden painted facades. Visit the Japanese Bridge, which according to local legend is indestructible. We enter the Pottery Museum, the amazing Tan Ky house (which was the first monument of historic interest) and the cantons temple.
I recommend places that you may go to dinner. Today you will be responsible for your own dinner.

DAY 10: HOI AN – FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH

Today you will be taking the flight from Hoi An (Danangsairport) to Ho Chi Minh.
At the scheduled time we will take you to Danang airport, and in Ho Chi Minh we will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel
You will stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

DAY 11: HO CHI MINH - MEKONG DELTA
(Meal Inc.: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)(3 days / 2 nights)

From Ho Chi Minh we will leave at approximately 8:00 am, and in a few couple of hours you will have arrived at My Tho, where you will visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, a shrine that is been responsible for hosting many orphans and needy children. Continuing with the tour we will cross the Mekong River and see the picturesque villages of the delta through the maze of small canals. After a stop at the Turtle Island we’ll stop for lunch on a quiet Mekong island.
After lunch, there will be another trip by boat that will take you to Ben Tre Khan An. In Ben Tre you will see how some of the families in the Delta live.
Night in Can Tho

DAY 12: CAN THO - LONG XUYEN - CHAU DOC

Today we will need to wake up early, breakfast will be ready from 6:30 in the morning and upon the time we have finished the meal, we will embark on a boat that takes us to the floating market in Cai Rang. It is the largest in the Mekong Delta. It's a good experience to see the market in full swing and it is worth the early start. After visiting the Mekong village it’d be lunch time and you can catch a few breaks. You will follow down by road to Chau Doc Long Xuyen (there is a crocodile farm there). Once in Chau Doc you will check in at the hotel. A return to Sam Mountain which lies on the border between Vietnam and Cambodia, and another visit to a somewhat mysterious pagoda located in those surroundings.

DAY 13: CHAU DOC - PHNOM PENH

After breakfast you will have the chance of another lap to see the day to day life of Chau Doc: houseboats with fish farms and a look at the Cham minority living in this area of the Mekong.
After the visit the Mekong Delta a fast boat will take you to Phnom Penh. It will be 5 hour journey to reach the city.
In Phnom Penh you will have to pay $ 25 per person to have your visa done. NB: Have a few a few passport photos with you, as well as the money which needs to be U.S. Dollars. You will take the speed boat to 9:00 am and will be in the port of Sisowath in Phnom Penh at 14:00 h. In Phnom Penh one of our correspondents in Cambodia will be waiting for you to escort you to your hotel.
After years of violence and terror, Phnom Penh is a city that is reinventing itself. Many parts of the city are testimony to its French colonial past while the area of the river is a symbol of their future. I send you all the information that you spend this day in Phnom Penh.

DAY 14: PHNOM PENH - SIEM REAP

During the morning you will have time to visit the one of the more interesting sights of Phnom Penh. We will have the necessary information provided to you so you don’t miss any detail of the city. In the afternoon we will have you transferred to Phnom Penh to take your flight to Siem Reap. Upon your arrival, our correspondent will be waiting to take you to the hotel.

DAY 15: ANGKOR TOUR

The Angkor Archeological Park is a World Heritage Site. The Angkor complex, a World Heritage Site. Home of the ruins of the temples of the Khmer.Includes the legendary Angkor Wat, Bayon and other ruins of the Angkor Era (IX-XIII) during the Khmer empire. The Angkor there are dozens of ruins that have been expanded over 400 m2. Today you will visit Angkor Thom, South Gate, Bayon, The Real Gate, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and Leper King, Ta Prohm and Angkor Wat. The trip will end in Phnom Bakhen watching the sunset.
Overnight in Siem Reap
 
DAY 16: REMOTE TEMPLES: THE ROLUOS AND BANTEAY SREY – HO CHI MINH

In the morning, after your breakfast, we will head to visit the Roluos temples, about 15 km from the city of Siem Reap. Then we will visit the temple of Banteay Srey. We will have lunch in a local restaurant. Afterward we will return to the city. From Siem Reap that night you will fly to Ho Chi Minh. Where we will pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel.
You will stay overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

DAY 17: HO CHI MINH - BACK HOME
(Meals: Breakfast)
You will have the day free in the former Saigon until it is time for your flight back home.
