In my eyes, Ha Giang, the northernmost province of Vietnam , is the most attractive destination in the country, with the rocky plateau at Dong Van, the love market at Khau Vai, Heaven’s Gate over the Quan Ba Pass and the friendly, colourful ethnic groups. For that reason, despite the bad weather and narrow roads, our seven-day trip to Ha Giang was eagerly anticipated.

Since the last few decades, Vietnam had become one of the great touristic destinations. It is a developing country with great potential, but there are also aspects which sometimes we let pass unnoted.

In Vietnam, there are over 30 national parks, the ones that are mostly paid attention to are: The Cat Ba national park, The Cuc Phuong national park, The Phong Nha- Ke Bang national park, The Cham Island and The Cat Tien national park.

While Cu Lao Cham (Cham Isle) in Quang Nam province receives thousands of tourists a day, Cu Lao Xanh (Green Isle) in Binh Dinh, also a wonderful natural landscape still cannot attract tourists. Cu Lao Xanh has another name – the Van Phi Island, located near the Xuan Dai bay in Nhon Chau commune of Quy Nhon City in Binh Dinh province. The island covers an area of 365 hectares, where 2300 people are living. It is just 17 kilometers far from Quy Nhon City and six kilometers far from Xuan Hoa commune of Phu Yen province.
