Family Travel to Vietnam, with children 16 days/15 Nights

What follows is our proposal for a family tour of Vietnam. A mixture of sights and activities that will keep your whole family entertained. A combination of the cultural and natural attractions that Vietnam has to offer. We've designed an itinerary that we hope includes a little something for everyone: adventure, history, mountains, beaches, swimming, shopping, elephants, crocodiles etc.
Of course, every family is different. So here, at Routes Vietnam, we try our best to adapt our tours to your needs. May we remind you that this is merely a proposal and that there are many things within the itinerary that can be changed, including the destinations or duration of the trip. We’d like you to send us your specific preferences in order for us to design a tailor-made itinerary to suit your family. Detailed Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVE TO HO CHI MINH
(DINNER)
Upon your arrival to the Tan Son Nhat airport; our guild will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel, located in the center of Ho Chi Minh. This day you will have time to relax and organize yourselves. Depending on the time of your arrival, our guide will help you and recommend the places you can visit to enjoy your first day in Vietnam. We will also send you the documents about the place. We will organize for you welcoming dinner.
You will spend the night in Ho Chi Minh.

DAY 2: HO CHI MINH CITY
(BREAKFAST)
Today you will go to Dam Sen Park and will see: Ferris wheel, roller coaster, pedal boating on the lake, travel in train, parks and subject areas, and Sam Sen Water Park. To learn more, just ask us or visit this page: damsenpark.com.vn if interested you include this in your trip we can take care of the tickets and transportation to the park.
From Rutas Vietnam, these activities are the ones that we have been designing, but depending on the age of the kids and the preferences of the adults, everything in the itinerary can be modified to your liking. We can add more places of cultural interests, more activities for the kids or more time in Ho Chi Minh.

DAY 3: HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA – HO CHI MINH
(BREAKFAST & LUNCH)
Places to visit: Cai Be & Vinh Long.
Cai Be is located 85miles away from Ho Chi Minh, about 2 and half hours by car or bus. Thus, get up early on this day, to be on time to visit the floating market at its maximum activity.
In Cai Be, a boat trip awaits you to view the floating market, and through the canals that formed the Mekong Delta you will arrive to Vinh Long. You will also have a stop to see the orchards and fruit gardens of the small villages of the Delta. We will then continue to Binh Hoa Phuoc, the green pearl of Vinh Long, where you will be enjoying your lunch. After this adventure, we will return to Ho Chi Minh.
You will spend the night in Ho Chi Minh.

DAY 4: HO CHI MINH -  CU CHI TUNNELS
(BREAKFAST)
Places to visit: Cu Chi Tunnels, Wild Animal Protection Center of Cu Chi. After your breakfast, we will take you to the tunnels of Cu Chi, where the kids can enter into the tunnels and feel the way how they resisted the Vietnamese people in the time of war. Afterward, you will continue the trip and visit the Wild Animal Protection Center of Cu Chi (wildlife at risk)
You will spend the night in Ho Chi Minh.

DAY 5 TO DAY 10: HO CHI MINH – NHA TRANG.
(BREAKFAST)
Today, you will take your flights from Ho Chi Minh to Nha Trang, one of the best destinations for the family to have a great time in your Vietnam trip, as there are all kind of activities and installations prepared for the public. It’s to mention that Nha Trang is also one of the destinations with the best weather and the best beaches of Vietnam, with the ideal water temperature to bath in; the cuisine of Nha Trang is among the most complete of Vietnam. Thus, we think that it’d worth a 5 days stay in Nha Trang, but of course, we are open to your preferences.
We opted for these five days, because we lived there with our 7yo son, and we can say that we know the city. In this instant, we are living in Hanoi, which is another stunning city, but Nha Trang is one of the most comfortable destinations to travel as a family.
Upon your arrival to your hotel you family will have 5 free day, we leave you to enjoy the activities that the city has to offer, your way. We will send documents with information of the most outstanding activities to make sure that you and the young ones don’t miss anything.
On day 6 you will go to Water park and attraction park of VINPEARL, the best one in Vietnam. Where you can have fun and spend an amazing day.
On day 7 you will have the snorkel tour. After enjoying the excellent breakfast at the hotel and it’ll be time to take a boat and head onto the islands that surround Nha Trang for the day. You will get to visit the Tri Nguyen Aquarium, Mun Mot Island and Tam Island. You can enjoy your lunch on one of the islands, we will then head back to Nha Trang at around 17.00h, and you will have time to explore the bustling streets of Nha Trang.

DAY 11 TO 12: NHA TRANG – DA LAT
(BREAKFAST & LUNCH)
This is a road trip by private car where you can enjoy the central zone of Vietnam. We will depart from Nha Trang and reach for the Datanla Falls and rollercoaster road.
You will spend the night in Da Lat.

DAY 12: DALAT – FLIGHT TO HANOI
(BREAKFAST & LUNCH)
You will visit today to Crazy House, Bao Dai. It would be your time to take your flight to Hanoi. Upon your arrival to Hanoi we will transfer you to your hotel.
You will spend the night in Hanoi.

DAY 13: GETTING TO KNOW THE CAPITAL OF VIETNAM: HANOI.
(BREAKFAST & LUNCH)
Hanoi city, one hell of an experience. You’ll enjoy a trip around the old town on the classical Xiclo with a stop at the Dong Xuan market. And it’s also essential to check out the Puppet Theatre Water.
The cultural visit of Hanoi: we will start with the Ho Chi Minh complex including the Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace and the stilt house of Ho Chi Minh, a stop for the One Pillar Pagoda, and we will finish with visit to the Literature Temple. We can also choose the Ethnic Museum, the Military Museum and the Hoa Lo prison.
Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and goes a long way, exist also another options in Hanoi, for those who’d prefer to realize different plans. The car and the guide will be at your disposal during the day.
For the kids, there are various options like the water park, the circus or the Thu Le zoo.
You will spend the night in Hanoi.

DAY 14: HANOI – HALONG BAY
(BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER)
We leave Hanoi to head for the Halong Bay, one of the 8 wonders of the world. Upon your arrival to the city of Halong, we will take you to our cruise of Paloma Cruise, where you will start your magical adventure of the Halong Bay cruise for the whole family. If we have enough time, you can also swim in its waters. For the sportsmen, we have prepared kayaks.  This adventure isn’t complete without trying the seafood lunch that we have prepared. Dine in the heart of the Halong Bay, with the spectacular view.

DAY 15: HALONG BAY – HANOI
(BREAKFAST, LUNCH)
The morning people can practice Tai Chi, or simply watch the sunrise. Breakfast served in the middle of the Bay, and we will continue contemplating this World Wonder in a small boat that will take you to the different parts of the Bay. There you will have time to kayak, bathe… or simply relax; later, we will return to the junk boat for lunch and say farewell to the Bay. Transfer to the port and on bus back to Hanoi. You will be back at the city around 16:30pm.
You will spend the night in Hanoi.

DAY 16: HANOI AND HOME.
(BREAKFAST)
Upon the time of saying farewell, we will leave to the airport for you to take your flight. We hope that the whole family enjoyed this trip to Vietnam. Good bye! Hen Gap Lai!
