Traditional Martial Arts training of 15 days in Vietnam

Come and discover Vo Co Truyen, the traditional martial art of Vietnam! Training is available at a Vo Co Truyen school no matter whether you're a beginner or an expert. Vo Co Truyen is a term which encompasses the traditional Vietnamese martial arts. It is comprised of a multitude of different schools and styles, known as Mon Phai. Each of these schools has preserved its original technique, culture, and philosophy, notably through the tradition of Bai Vo or “Quyen”/”Thao”. The Bai Vo are solo practices which reproduce combat against an imaginary aggressor or aggressors. They have some resemblance to the famous Japanes Catas or the Pousmes of Tae Kwon Do. Above all, the focus is on self defense, and the strict use of technique in lieu of force.
This option is thus appropriate for all martial arts enthusiasts. Or for those travelling with their family and looking for activities for children.

ITINERARY DETAILLED

DAY 1: ARRIVE IN HANOI
Upon your arrival at NoiBai Airport, you will have to make arrangements for the visa. Our driver in Hanoi will be waiting, to welcome you and take you to the hotel where you are going to be staying.

DAY 2: GETTING TO KNOWN THE CAPITAL
Breakfast
After your breakfast at the hotel, we will visit Vo Duong Thanh Phong where you will have a chance to experience the Vietnamese fighting sport. After the martial art school, you will have a city tour, where we take you to visit the Ho Chi Minh complex, including Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of Vietnamese great father or Uncle Ho (Closed from 7 Sept till 6 Nov 2012. And closed on all Monday and Friday afternoons. We visit outside only during closed times), President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house – where Ho lived on and off from 1958 to 1969, then visit Ho Chi Minh’s museum where tourists will learn what he had done for Viet Nam and some other countries and a lot of information about President Ho Chi Minh. The next place is One Pillar Pagoda which is a group of structures consisting of a pagoda and a tower built in the middle of a square pond. Leave One Pillar Pagoda for the Temple of Literature, the first college of Viet Nam dedicated to Confucianism.
In the afternoon, we get to visit the Ethnology museum, Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword Lake), Ngoc Son Temple and take a cyclo ride around the heart of Hanoi: the old quarter, filled with street shops, narrow streets and motorcycles, a tour that will show you the more picturesque side of Hanoi.

DAY 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
After breakfast, at approximately 8:00am, the bus will be waiting to take you from Hanoi to Halong Bay (4hrs trip). You will get to visit Halong Bay and spend the night in a traditional Junk boat surrounded by the sheer beauty of this magical place.
At around 13.00 h we will embark on a cruise with a warm welcoming. After lunch you will visit Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, and a fishing village where you can see how real fishermen and their families really live. In the late afternoon you will have the chance to go and explore Halong Bay by Kayak, enjoy a nice swim and have a 15-minute foot massage or a cooking demonstration of the Vietnamese cuisine.  Dinner will be served at around 19.00h.

DAY 4: HA LONG BAY- HA NOI
Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner
Early risers can enjoy the sunrise in Halong Bay. After breakfast there will be more time to visit the 8th wonder of the world. You will pass through Dinh Huong Island and Ga Choi among others. You will also visit Sung Sot cave, and before returning back to Halong port you will be served lunch. At around 11:30 am you will be back in Halong and you will then take the bus back to the Vietnamese capital.
You will be back in the city at around 17:30pm. If you like, you can join Vo Co Truyen class for the last time in Hanoi.

DAY 5: HANOI - NHA TRANG
Breakfast
Today, after breakfast, you will take the flight to NhaTrang. Upon your arrival, our driver will drive you to your hotel then to Vo Co Truyen school where you will get the Vo Co Truyen’s presentation and  your first lesson. During the rest of the day, you will have free time to discover NhaTrang and relax on the beach.

DAYS 6,7,8,9,10:  NHA TRANG-VO CO TRUYEN TRAINING
Breakfast
In the morning, Vo Co Truyen’s class will be from 5.30 to 7.00 and in the afternoon, from 17.30 to 20.30. The training is individualized and suitable for all levels.

JOUR 11: NHA TRANG - HO CHI MINH
Breakfast/Lunch
Today you will take a flight to Ho Chi Minh. Our driver will drive you to your hotel. You will have a half day visit Ho Chi Minh city with your guide. (Notre-Dame cathedral, Ancient Post, Ben Thanh market, China town, Thien Hau pagoda)

DAY 13: HO CHI MINH - MY THO - BEN TRE-HO CHI MINH
Breakfast/Lunch
Today we visit the Mekong Delta. From Ho Chi Minh awaits a journey of around two hours and half to get to My Tho. There you will take a boat that will take you through the canals of the Mekong Delta. You will visit the fruit market in My Tho and Turtle Island. Lunch will be served in a quiet place in the Mekong Delta, surrounded by greenery and gardens. In Ben Tre you will also have a boat tour, get the chance to visit local families to get an idea of their daily lives, and after seeing Thoi Son we will head back to My Tho by boat. From My Tho you go back to Ho Chi Minh city by bus.

DAY 14: HO CHI MINH – CAN GIO MANGROVE
Breakfast/Lunch
Vam Sat-Can Gio’s Eco Zone is famous for its vast mangrove forest. Can Gio is 60 Km to south-West of Ho Chi Minh city. You will take a rowboat around the mangrove forest and observe the monkeys who live there. You will also visit the crocodile farm, the vietnamese military base during the war and relaxing in Phuong Nam parc.
The end of afternoon, you will head back to Ho Chi Minh where you will stay the last night in Vietnam.

DAY 15: HO CHI MINH – BACK HOME
Breakfast
Today, at schedule time, our driver will drive you to the airport for your flight to back home.
